This one-day conference will be held in Rome (Italy) on April 22, 2013 at Link Campus University, via Nomentana 335 - Rome, on 22 April, 2013.

Andrea Rigoni, GCSEC's Director-General, will participate as speaker to the Cybersecurity Summit 2013, organized by The Innovation Group. The event will be held in Milan, on 18th of Aprl, 2013.
Andrea Rigoni will illustrate the state of art of Cyber Security from a Government and Political perspective, illustrating what other governments have done and how EU and Italy are working on the subject. Andrea will also illustrate from his personal perspective which are the areas where Italian companies should invest and how they can contribute to the definition of a modern and solid national strategy. Particular emphasis will be given to the creation of the National CERT and its implications for the public and private sector.

For a long time President Obama stated the importance of cyber security for national security. He has declared that the “cyber threat is one of the most serious economic and national security challenges we face as a nation” and that “America's economic prosperity in the 21st century will depend on cybersecurity.” In the last year, he has attempted to publish the “Cybersecurity act of 2012”, one of the most significant legislative undertaking on cyber security issues in the United States to date, but it failed to pass the U.S. Senate because too many questions are left unanswered.
