The GCSEC can and should be a significant contributor to teacher professional development. A collection of hundreds of interactive science, mathematics and engineering technology exhibits will be an excellent location for workshops that simultaneously address content and inquiry-based methods of teaching. In addition, such an education center can be an effective vehicle for bringing more industry and technical professionals into collaborative efforts to develop ideas for innovative teacher resources, professional development workshops and (student) classroom projects.
