The Concept Development Project will be a collaboration of the GCSEC and a number of community leaders. The GCSEC believes that educators and other members of the Tristate community should be an integral part of the education center design process. Some of the best ideas and suggestions will come from teachers, students, scientists, managers, parents and others.
A number of Advisory Committees will be utilized during the Concept Development Project. Descriptions have been created for several of these committees and some committee members have been identified. As they are developed, recommendations of each committee will be posted.
A GCSEC MVP committee is also being created to provide another opportunity for people who believe in the value of an education center. The MVP's are people willing to assist with research, volunteer development, public presentations and other vital tasks. Time involvement is up to the individual. Very meaningful contributions can be made for as little as an hour a week or a few hours at GCSEC public presentations.
It is expected that committee descriptions will continue to evolve and additional committees will be created as the project proceeds.
