Emiliano Casalicchio – Senior Advisor

 

Emiliano Casalicchio is Researcher at the Computer Science department, University of Rome “Tor Vergata”. In 2002 he received the PhD in Computer Science.

In 2004 and 2007 he was visiting professor at the George Mason University, The Volgenau School of Information Technology, Fairfax, VA.

Since 2008 he’s an affiliate professor at the University of Roma La Sapienza. Right now he’s involved in the requirement definition of the NATO M&S CoE. 


Emiliano is author and co-autor of more than 60 papers published in International Journal and Conferences. His research is mainly framed in two fields: performance oriented design and evaluation of large scale distributed systems and analysis, modeling and simulation of critical information infrastructures. 
In the field of performance oriented design and evaluation of large scale distributed systems he’s interested in algorithms and mechanisms for resource management. 
In the field of analysis, modeling and simulation of Critical Information Infrastructures (CII) the goal of his studies is to propose methodologies, tools, models and metrics to analyze and to design critical systems. 

His research has been founded by private company (e.g. Amazon AWS, Elettronica Spa, Telecom Italia), research centers (e.g. ENEA, Radiolab), European Community, Italian Ministry of Research and the National Research Council. 


Emiliano serves as TPC member for many IEEE and ACM international conferences and international journals (IEEE, Elsevier, Ingdirect)
