UK Cyber Security national strategy 650 is not a random number, is not connected to kabala or the New Year Lottery. It is the synthesis of UK effort, to develop a concrete response to cyber threats for the next 4 years.

Judy Baker

Judy Baker has over 25 years experience of operational and advisory roles in security.

She established the UK Government's first Critical infrastructure Protection (CIP) department and spent 9 years developing CIP policies and information exchange.
In 2010, with the support of public and private sectors, she set up Cyber Security Challenge UK Ltd as a not for profit company.
It is designed to attract more highly talented people to a career in cyber security.
The first competitions were launched at the end of July and within a week over 3,000 candidates registered to compete.

Prior to this Judy worked within the UK Government to help protect Critical National Infrastructure (CNI).

As Deputy Director NISCC (National Infrastructure Security Coordination Centre), she established this new organisation delivering focused information security advice to Critical National Infrastructure businesses on protection from cyber attack.
Working directly with businesses she developed and implemented new methods of sharing sensitive data including through information exchanges. The NISCC merged with others to form CPNI (Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure), which delivers advice on personnel security and protection from both cyber and physical attacks. Judy became the senior manager responsible for strategy, communications and policy.
